Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Matt's passion for dentistry runs in the family as both his parents were proud graduates of Emory Dental School, and he has three siblings who also eventually became dentists. He worked in his parents' dental practice during his childhood, which slowly developed a love for this field that he couldn't ignore. He can't even remember when he first decided to follow in his parents' footsteps, but it's clear that a love for dentistry runs deep in his family, one unique tooth at a time.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Matt studied at Emory University and completed his dental doctorate at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. Today, he is a proud member of and/or has studied at the following organizations:

Additionally, Dr. Matt has been involved with the Gala for Smiles (a charitable event that raises money to support local dental clinics) for well over a decade, proudly supports Brighter Smiles for Brighter Futures, and volunteers with the Good Samaritan Clinic whenever possible. He is part-time faculty at the Dental College of Georgia at August University and provides hospital-based dental care at Eastside Medical Center.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Matt is happily married to Leigh Anne, and together, they have four children named Carter, Elle, Lauren, and Lewis. Recently, they welcomed a new addition to their family, Bear, an adorable Australian Shepherd puppy. When he's not practicing dentistry, Dr. Matt enjoys spending his free time playing golf, going on runs, and exploring new travel destinations with his family.
